Hi, friends of this lovely community. The cassette was one of the audio formats that achieved the greatest prominence. It was introduced in Europe and the United States by the Dutch company Philips in 1963 and 1964. It captivated everyone with its smaller size, compact design, and practicality, unlike its predecessor, open reel to reel magnetic tape. It reigned supreme in the 1980s, and although the compact disc (CD) was launched in 1982, many audiophiles continue to use it, treasuring it like sacred gems in their homes. Personally, it's one of my favorite analog sources. I have a lovely collection of English-language singers from the golden age of the 80s.
