This is a beautiful project I would love to share here. An emergency dress for a client for thanksgiving. Miss Dimzee called me very late at night two days ago that she wanted to make a dress for thanksgiving and she counted on me to give her exactly what she envisaged. Although, I had other jobs to do, I halted them and swung into action for her. I used the African print fabric, and a plain black crepe to achieve. Walk with me while I share the process of making this dress. The materials needed were; African print fabric Crepe fabric Airstay Breast pad Bonnings (plastic and rigilene) Eyelets Thread Zipper Shantily net Pattern paper Pencil and masking tape After taking her accurate body measurement, I transferred her measurements onto the pattern paper, drafting her outfit using the Helen Armstrong pattern maker method.
