Cabgan island is located at Cabgan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur, on the waters of Panguil Bay. This island is inhabited by approximately 1,700 people, so it is obviously not overpopulated and the island is quite peaceful. The whole area is divided and surrounded by mixed fresh and salt waters, so riding a boat is the main transportation in this place. Since the area has more waters than land, the main source of income here is breeding seafoods like crabs, shrimps,and freshwater fishes like, tilapia, haloan, and Philippine's national fish, bangus or milkfish. The place is so peaceful that we could only hear the sound of the water while flowing, the sound of paddle kissing the surface of the water while the boat is being rowed, and the leaves dancing while being blown by the mighty wind. We reached this island by riding this green boat, and we made our way through the dike of every fishpond. The main livelihood and source of income of the people here is having fishponds.
