Today, after months of research and provaracation, i finally ordered an e-bike kit and a battery for my Conway mountain bike. I've rarely used the bike, probably less than 10 times per year since i bought it (used) from a friend. He tells me it's a very good quality bike so better to convert rather than buy a new e-bike which would be lower quality and a lot more expensive. My friend also ordered the same conversion kit as me, but a smaller battery. Although i've researched quite a bit to choose what to order, my friend has reasearched a lot more, and he's a 'bike enthusiast', so i've followed his recommendation. This is the kit we've ordered. It's a Toseven mid drive kit with 500 watt motor which powers the crank-shaft (where the pedals are) as opposed to a hub kit which powers the wheel directly (motor is built into a new wheel). The mid drive motor gives power to the rear wheel via the existing cogs and chain. This is the battery i ordered: It has LG brand cells & is 48 volt, 20 amp
