Montañita: Party & Surf Montañita is a Babylon-like village on the coast of Ecuador. It’s one of the craziest places I’ve ever lived in. I’ve been living here for three years during the high season playing music (between January and May). It’s a place where you feel the heartbeat of the village. Music is everywhere, at any hour of the day or night. There are lots of bars, nightclubs, restaurants with live music, but also surfing, yoga, and chill-out spaces. You have to be ready for Montañita’s energy—it’s intense. This village lives mainly off tourism, and people from all over the world come here to party and surf. Here, on one hand, I’ve grown a lot—musically and personally. I’ve faced every part of myself: my potential and my obstacles, my light and my darkness. I’ve created a lot, and at the same time, I’ve destroyed a lot. I’ve formed music groups, workspaces, events; I’ve broken mental barriers, fears, and repetitive patterns.
