Sometimes you have to make difficult decisions. They hurt, but there are no alternatives. Sometimes you have to move on and let go, because the memories will always be with you anyway. Some would say that objects are just things, but those things are present in our lives and often just looking at them brings moments and experiences to mind, even bringing a smile to our faces. They are special for many reasons. It's true, some people are not attached to things, but for others, as in my case, some of those things or objects represent unforgettable moments. It goes beyond material value, because whether they have it or not, they have emotional value. Not all objects, but some in my life represent family history, a lot of history, a legacy, even more so when you know how they were acquired and perhaps a history of more than 70 years.
