I always felt that the bus transportation corporation in my city needed a big upgrade. This is not just about getting converted to a green solution or not. But in general, the transportation was not very great and it was also one of the facilities offered by the government that was not running with a great profit. I was glad to recently learn that our MTC launched buses that are electric, and they have a good range of about 200 kms per charge. This is a huge step towards the green revolution because it becomes a great advantage in all respects. I have seen buses operated by many big companies that are fully electric. Those company buses would be the starting point, I believe, and I'm glad that the government is also exploring and adapting to this. I wish the same happens in other states in India too, where electric commute is promoted more compared to the regular diesel engine buses. This is not only good for the ecosystem, but I think it is also cost-effective for the government too.
