As a little surprise we went out today among friends, with our kids. It was a beautiful day, we did a Picknick a s walked around 8k steps just that hike down to the canyon. There are always interesting formations to find along the road, like this tree with roof tiles leaned to it. The kids played like crazy and the adults had a couple of beers, and we chatted about the world and what was going on. We had all been back in German over Christmas, so there were many stories to tell. We all lived this vacation very differently. The kids were quite tired on the way back, and there were a few exhaustion tears and general crankiness. Now, we're home. Time to get everything in place for school tomorrow, have a little more food (though still full) and maybe one more beer. Then call it an early night. Hopefully.
