Last week, my son and I were running errands, and on one of them, we decided to stop and visit the Gonzalo de Ocampo Bridge. We've passed by it many times, but this time we decided to stop and admire the bridge and the beautiful sunset. The bridge is located on the Arístides Rojas perimeter avenue, over the Manzanares River, and connects with the area known as "La Boca," where the sea and the river meet. The bridge has a simple design, with yellow walls in the center and on the sides. Iron railings with circular tubes are on top of the walls. The other side of the bridge connects to the municipal market and the Las Palomas neighborhood. The passenger terminal and the El Dique neighborhood are very close by, and it also serves as a river transport route for fishermen who regularly travel in their boats to the distribution points for fresh fish.
