One of my fondest memories during my college years was when we would go out to the then town proper of Baybay, Leyte. It has become a culture among college students of our university to reward ourselves after a grueling examination week. We would go out either to the school's beach area, gaze the shining stars and engage in a hilarious yet memorable conversations or off we went to the town proper for some barbecue goodness and to belt out our emotions. There was a particular place where people go if they want to have fun, enjoy foods, drinks and karaoke. The place was called "Barbecuehan sa Pantalan". Barbecuehan was a cluster of restaurants built on bamboo stilts located at the side of the seaport. The main food served was barbecue.
