PISAC: THE ADRENALINE OF THE LENS Reflections on Silence · Chapter XVII “In the rush of the moment, the eye must find the calm that the heart lacks.” “En la prisa del momento, el ojo debe encontrar la calma que al corazón le falta.” English *Closing the Pisac chapter, I find myself reflecting on how every step we take is a move toward fulfilling our dreams. Sometimes, anxiety wins in the moment. I get home and I’m not happy with the photographs I tookshooting wildly, my mind elsewhere, not focused on the task at hand. This happens to me in Cusco or places I enjoy deeply; I struggle to manage my emotions. It’s complex because when you land after so much mental adrenaline, that visual exhaustion takes over your senses. I hope soon to learn how to master that calm and give the best of myself.
