👊 The Judge of Takanakuy: Faces of Chumbivilcas PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 163 [ENG-ESP] English During my journey to Cusco, I immersed myself in the "Takanakuy" festival in Chumbivilcas. It’s an ancestral tradition where people settle personal disputes through a one-minute ritual fight. Once it's over, the conflict is resolved and peace returns to the community. This portrait features one of the Judges of the fights. Capturing this was a significant challenge due to the harsh high-altitude sun. I had to find the right angle to manage the light and achieve a perfect bokeh that highlights the raw texture of the skin. I’m sharing two moments: one where he is observing the chaos and another where his direct gaze meets my lens, full of life and authority.
