Today's ride comes past the front door of my cottage. Gives me a later start and a chance to chat with the cottage owner. Perfect start photo - the flowers in the cottage garden Quiet road and a bit of gravel before reaching the main road down to Wilsons Promontory. The road was busy but with long straight sections safe enough for the solo rider - me at the back. The cluster of five riders in front less so I had left the cottage without my Camelbak and only half a bottle of Gatorade. The other riders advised me we we were not far from Yannaki - can fill up there and ride further. Did that. Quite a few riders tailed in at Yannaki. A mix of ideas what to do. The planned routes. Turn back to base. Rise up the busy road to Fish Creek and French food there and back down the rail trail. I studied the map and chose to cycle down to the sea and to walk Shallow Inlet walk.
