For this Wednesday Walk, I bring you another walk I took in Hyde Park Chicago, this time to visit Promontory Point or Burnham Park, or simply known by locals as The Point. The Point is a small man-made peninsula on the shores of Lake Michigan in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. From there, you can enjoy magnificent views. We took this walk on the afternoon of December 21. The route took us from Midway Plaisance to our destination, The Point. We started the walk at Midway Plaisance, at Woodlawn Ave. It was a beautiful afternoon, the evening light was magic that day. We crossed the park along the avenue heading north and then east. The sunlight fell beautifully on the facade of Rockefeller Chapel. And from that point heading east, the view was also wonderful.
