These oval shadows are usually uncommon. In some cases, they are almost circular. Hence the motivation to share with fellow shadow hunters in this 408th edition of this contest, so well organized weekly by @melinda010100. ᅠ As I admired and enjoyed this beautiful set of iron chairs and tables, my thoughts and gaze fixed on the oval shadows reflected on the floor. This rather heavy furniture is located in the garden of a centuries-old house in the old town of Coimbra, on Rua João Jacinto, Portugal. It houses the “Casa da Escrita” (House of Writing), a cultural space for promoting writing, books, and reading. Also known as Casa do Arco, it was once home to João José Cochofel (1919-1982) – writer, poet, essayist, who was part of and promoted the first generation of writers of Coimbra's Neorealism. Although the garden was green and full of light, I opted for black and white to achieve greater emphasis on the shadows - the purpose of this contest.
