It is located about 500 meters from my house, in the Vale das Flores Linear Park, Coimbra (Portugal), where I pass by almost every day. During the day, it is a discreet fountain, but at nightfall it takes on a different presence. There are other water features scattered throughout this area, but this one in particular is an artistic/urban fountain with a water jet and decorative lighting, an attraction in the public space given its aesthetic purpose. Pumps and hydraulic circuits allow the projection of water jets that are illuminated by a submerged or integrated LED system, providing colorful effects on the water mirror and the ground at night. The paving and floor structures are adapted to allow safe interaction with the fountains. This water feature, integrated into the park's landscaping, was designed by architect Laura Roldão, who was also responsible for the integrated urban redevelopment that included the reorganization of green spaces and urban elements.
