Las Peñas and Santa Ana are located on a hilltop in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. This charming hillside is a historical and interesting part of the city. It is one of the places that shouldn't be missed on a visit to Guyaquil. Not only is it of historical significanse, but from the top, it also offers a spectacular 360 degree view of the city. The main attraction to me was walking the 444 steps to the top. Not only for the view, but also to admire the street art, cobblestone streets and colorful houses. We followed the 444 steps to the top, past small shops, cafes and bars. At the end of step nr. 444 we were rewarded with a gorgeous wiew. On the top you can visit the small chapel and the lighthouse. Both were open. It took another 75 steps to get to the top of the lighthouse, but the 360 degree wiew is definitly worth it. https://images.ecency.com/DQmeFXtVypJNtbKFQg93LUk4nh6JwBHwNC4kpAYfVwMwS1W/02.jpg The starting point https://images.ecency.com/DQmVVE2bdLQVUHpNtY6abwMrHs7XchfVZh5oW
