This painting is found at the Le Gaudan Waterfront, which is a large shoppingcenter complex by the harbor front in the capital Port Louis. This painting is new. It wasn't here last year when I was here. The artist is Daphne Doomun. It was painted and unveiled as a part of a launch initiated by Greenpeace Africa. The whole message is about proteting life in the oceans ( Mauritius is located in the Indian Ocean). On Instagram she is explaining the painting. The oceans are filled with life, but they are also fading. It is painted on the pavement where people walk along the waterfront. Besides fish, there is the text : « protect the Oceans» and «30x30 now». https://images.ecency.com/DQmYLPwswtgCGZujzXYPeRRu2pSQDpvyCr6kS2GhsFK5rET/02.jpg https://images.ecency.com/DQmcLzXYFnRJyaLMmcsn8JXitvcZ29d8cJxoJeb5RaAxcWQ/03.jpg The painting shows many fish.
