Ok to be honest it’s the second day but flying in over 26 hours yesterday was a wash out I got to the City from the airport thanks to some some friends, Yum & Phil, who picked me up at the airport and took me to the hotel, we had a late lunch and a beer, unpacked and then I crashed. So today it’s essentials day getting my bearings, a bit of shopping and that will be it. First things first I’m staying at the Rendezvous Heritage Hotel in Downtown Auckland, it’s close enough to the harbour viaduct area so great for restaurants. Hotel photo The room is enormous with cooking facilities and a fridge. The decor is a bit 70s but the huge windows too with some great views if you ignore the car park. First coffee and breakfast at a small coffee bar across the street. It was time good wander around the Marina area. Lots of very nice boats. It was lunchtime at the Soul bar by the marinas. It’s very highly rated and I wouldn’t normally pay around £50 for lunch but it really was very good even if th
