Wednesday was our biggest adventure day, an excursion down to Orosei to tour all the magical coves and beautiful remote beaches of Sardinia. It was an amazing experience on a small boat with one other couple and a young, experienced skipper leading the tour. We got to swim inside of caves and spend a few hours on two of the most beautiful beaches in all of Italy, not just Sardinia. It's just a shame that I still could not wear my FitBit in the water because I did a ton of swimming. In fact, there were some long swims I wasn't even sure I was going to make it. Luckily, after the first one when I came back panting, the skipper helped me out with a kickboard. Phew... I was so tired. We were out on the water for 9 hours! It was a long day. But so well worth it, filled with memories I will take with me for the rest of my life. Once we got home, we showered and covered ourselves in aloe lotion. No matter how much sun protection I put on, it was not enough to keep me from looking like a lobst
