Wednesday was all about getting ready for Christmas with my partner's family. The holiday and traditions don't mean much to me since I'm Jewish, but this is a special time for her to spend time with her family. They all live out on the West Coast, so this is her one time each year to see them. My job is to stay present and engaged with family talks. Easier said than done for sure, especially because I can flip open my mobile phone and play Splinterlands instead. Besides the travel down to Southern San Diego, we didn't do much else for Christmas Eve. We started the day sleeping in until noon to catch up with the jet lag. And then when we did get up, we were just puttering around the house while it rained heavy outside. San Diego is actually a pretty dry place, so it is a bit uncharacteristic for it to rain so much. Oh well, nature calls! Yikes, look at that low step count. Sadly, low rates look set to continue as we spend more of our California holiday vacation indoor due to rain. Hopef
