HELLO, HIVE! This white plywood structure with a washbasin on the right is the restroom. There's a mirror and a bottle of liquid soap. Service, though! A bit surprised? This is India, son! Get used to the brutality of Asia! The sign on the door insistently asks not to throw toilet paper in the toilet. So at least there's toilet paper! That's not bad! Oh well! At all the beach cafes we visited, there was toilet paper in the stalls. All for the benefit of foreign tourists! Indians themselves usually wash themselves with a hose. Such is tradition! A toilet, a bucket with a ladle, a trash can, a hand wash hose, and, barely visible in the frame, a piece of toilet paper by the mirror. The floor is a bit dirty from sand, but that's easily remedied with a hose. It's a beach after all, and you'll always have sand on your feet, so no big deal.
