Nope, it is not a wedding ceremony you are seeing, I assure you! To your pleasant surprise, it is just a ceremony to celebrate the "ear/nose piercing of the girls"! Amongst all the cities in Bangladesh, I believe there are no cities that are so overwhelmingly enthusiastic about celebrating anything and everything they find it as an excuse to throw a house party!! For an absolute introvert like me, belonging to such a party-loving tribe, as you have assumed, is a nightmare for me to keep up with their pace! Certainly, as I successfully failed to match their energy, I have quite earned the title "black sheep" an antisocial, uncommunicative being (with all possible politeness!)," starting from the family to friends and relatives gracefully! However, that does not imply, I adore them any less, which is why even though I love to participate in the functions and all, I unfortunately cannot but nonetheless, I do make up for that by being involved once in a while. But...then they get confused
