I live in Switzerland but originally I am from Gent in Belgium. and every year in the 10 days around the 21st of July there is "de Gentse Feesten" . which is a little like the festival of Gent But it is a bit more then that, there is street theatre everywhere, live bands, big parties, lots of beer, good vibes all around. The whole city centre is closed off and there are roughly 1.3 million people that visit over this period. Which is not bad for a city of 350k This event is world famous (especially in Europe) The first picture is an image of the famous towers of Gent. It is truly a medieval town that is worth a visit if you are ever in the region.
