I can't recall ever setting out to make a new friend; planning out and acting in ways to find and engage new friends is something I've not wanted to do as I prefer friendships to occur organically and for the right reasons rather than being manufactured. I don't think I'd even know where to start to manufacture a friendship and aren't sure I'd be my true self in the process to be honest; if I wasn't my true self and a friendship ensued...well, would it truly be a friendship or a creation born of my changed behaviours. I don't know the answer. I have some very real and true friendships and am thankful for them, and they all developed over time. There was no specific moment when we announced, "now we're friends." We just sort of grew into friendship status and before we even knew it the relationship was cast.
