Nineties Friday! 🎸 1999 (part 2) - Sk8-Punk & Pop-Punk! Sharing & Talking The Punk Records From 1999! Some Hit It Big & Some Were Hidden Gems! Gene Talks Tunes 🎙️ (1999 Sk8 Punk! Ska & Pop Punk) I said I would limit nineties Friday posts to 5-7 tunes but I ended up taking at least ten this week. This weeks nineties Friday post I focused on the “Punk” bands that released influential records. Some went mainstream huge while others remained hidden gems even though I believe there were definitely songs that should have been hits on these records. It was a weird time where you still had these sk8 punk bands who came from similar scene as 1994 bands like Green Day, Rancid & Offspring. While there was something new happening with some of the new bands like The Ataris , Saves The Day & more where they were even more pop friendly.
