On Wednesday morning I was up around 6AM and got my post up. I finished folding the laundry. By 8AM the thermometer was nearly at 50F and the sun had come out so I decided to try to get the West Shed garden done before PT. So I managed to get out there by 9:15AM and set to work. I had my special gloves and had dressed warmly and hoped I’d be fine. But the invasive weed that took over this garden last year has long tap roots and I had to dig each one out. In ½ hour my hands were frozen. The garden was thawed, but hadn’t warmed up. So I quit just before 10AM and got cleaned up and my photos taken. This is how much the snow had melted from the day before. I’m still not going to be able to do these gardens for a while. The forecast is cold temperatures in the 40’s tops until the end of the month. Sigh… In my wanderings I went over to see how much snow was in the cold frame and found these. I’d forgotten to clean it out last year! And some were still alive! We are back in a drought again, t
