This is a photo of my hellebores for @sunscape. I bet there are flowers under that mess… They’d be right near the fern seed pods. On Tuesday morning I wasn’t up until after 6AM. The fires had gone out in the night and the house was down to 60F, much too cold for me. But the sun would be out soon so I put a heavy sweater on and waited. We are 10 or 11 days away from the Equinox and the sun has finally come up away from the trees. Right now it goes straight through the kitchen but when the Equinox arrives it will go down the hall into the office and out the west window. It took me forever to edit the photos and get my post up. I didn’t finish until just before my helper arrived at 10:30AM. He did some chores while I got organized to send him on errands. While he was gone, I got a load in the dishwasher. When he got back, I got him set up to make more of the French Onion Meatballs. I didn’t manage to get out to the gardens until nearly 1:15PM. The idea was to clean out the South garden. B
