The Midweek Growers segment asked: “What’s sprouting, flowering, struggling, being harvested, or driving you crazy?” I’ll start with driving me crazy and that would be the weather. We got a ton of snow this year and it’s melting slowly. I still have huge snowbanks or deep snow on or near most gardens. This week we had warm temps and I was able to get out on 2 of the 3 days so far and clean out gardens. Today is the last nice one, but I have PT midday which makes deciding what to do hard. It doesn’t look like any more warm days until after the end of the month. The only thing I have flowering outside is snowdrops. Inside I still have the geranium flowering. Outside lots of daffodils are coming up and one of the iris reticulates. Inside the mesclun is doing well and the onions are growing fast. Outside some of the plants may be struggling from the hard winter, too early to tell. Inside most things are doing well, both seedlings and house plants. I haven’t killed the African violet yet, b
