Greetings to our dear friends in the @wednesdaywalk community, who help transport us to different places around the world. I hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday walk. Today I’m sharing a route I took from the western part of the city of Barquisimeto, an area known as Pavia that’s a bit far from downtown. The route starts on the road from Bobare to Barquisimeto, where you can see in the distance the arch marking the National Guard checkpoint that welcomes you to the final stretch to Pavia. In this area, there are people who raise goats as an economic activity that helps them earn their daily livelihood. For this reason, there are several restaurants along the road that specialize in goat and sheep dishes, which are representative of the livestock in the area. There is also an area next to the gas station where trucks loaded with melons from the municipality of Urdaneta park to sell them directly to consumers at prices lower than those found in any store in the city.
