Gnarsdao Devcon Thailand 01 ๐Ÿ”ฎ

yo. sup hive family, all good? lets build. ๐ŸŽฌ

Today I will share with you a little bit of our participation in the Devcon ETH conference in Bangkok Thailand, where I will give a brief and broad overview of our adventure. hope all you like it. \m/

This project came from a proposal in the Action sports onchain gnarswtf community where part of the gnars athlete team would go to one of the largest crypto conferences in the world DEVCON to share our work, participate in creative hubs, conversations and presentations, side events and more.

Our mission in the rich culture of Thailand was divided into two main points: the experience and days of full crypto and conference, and the trip to Rayong, a rural area near Pattaya, where Gnars ended a week of coding work and skateboarding at the skatehouse.
In this text, I will talk more about the first action, and then I will write another one more applied to Rayong, as both moments proved to be rich in achievements and experiences.
The photographs presented in this article were taken by my friend @fernandoferreira a professional photographer with an incredible background. I will also be leaving these links to Fernandeira below in case you are interested in seeing more photographs of our moments. Fernando Zora Profile

Be gnarly, Be nounish, Be true

IMG_4517.jpg During the breaks between lectures and activities, we would go to the different outdoor spots around the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) Bangkok, to smoke a cigarette or chat with other conference attendees, as well as do some tricks. So, I was stretching in a Trikonasana, when @xvlad had the idea of โ€‹โ€‹doing a hip jump trick over this position. The result is already known, led by Fernando Ferreira and available on his Zora soon. Vlad wore his cringe but extremely hype pants made by the Brazilian artist Nounish Illustradora.

All the event spaces were very well planned, ensuring proper fluidity between people and different activities. The lectures and opening ceremony showed the professionalism and charisma of the Ethereum network and Devcon. The photo above was taken in the Hacker Cave, a space where the Gnars team met at least once a day to build a little onchain, make updates, and work. Peanuts with wasabi, water, free internet and a pleasant space to program and interact with security protocols and the most cyber space of the event. @willdias with his neon nogglesboard, custom @gnars jumpsuit.

Creatores Hub

We were pleased to be invited to be speakers at Zora's Creators Hub, sharing our journey as a DAO, as NFT enthusiasts and in partnership with Zora Protocol.
Gami, in his beautiful red IMF jumpsuit, gave a talk about the history of gnarsdao, starting with nounsdao and our work dynamics and how this has evolved to the present day. We then shared our vision as creators and shared Zora creations that help us share our projects onchain, in addition to strengthening the community treasury and work fluidity.
IMG_4740.jpg
It was very rewarding to see people around the event excited about what we are creating on the blockchain when it comes to DAO, creativity, sports, arts, public goods among other topics,
We shared live the first day of Highlights and Creations in Thailand onchain called "styland [gnars01]" which is now available to watch and collect at the hyperlink. This mint went viral and generated lots of smiles and good vibes during the event. Over 2k minutes, and a good start for the gnars community profile on zora, go follow dear.

We also shared 2 special works of ours with the public, which were:
De Olinda 36 Teaser - A film that I was able to develop for Gnarsdao as a surf athlete, produced by Itemfilmes, in partnership with Mazesurfcrafts, Airdrop Culture, PreciousPlastic, Surfguru. (full movie)
Uganda Connection - A film resulting from an action by Gnarsdao in Kampala, Uganda, where they joined forces with local skateboarding communities and produced a cultural documentary by Renan Carvalho and skateboarderGarcia.

The neon lights, mixed with the spicy and bittersweet seasoning of Thailand, matched our work style very well. Massage parlors often became tempting after the skateboarding that came after the conference (no happy ending please). So, that's how we continued to do some work around Thailand, such as a visit to the famous local skate park Preduce, and a crypto skate event on a dubious wooden track inside a shopping mall (the vibe was good). Then we released the second video of the Gnars Community NFT Thai Adventure collection with a little more of the adventures in Bangkok, heading to Rajasthan, collecting material and experience for the final documentary.

This concludes this post about some of the achievements of Gnarsdao in Thailand. On chain baby. Lets build. I hope you enjoyed it, I'm still in Rayong. Make sure to follow gnarsdao on social media, as well as the athletes who are there taking part in this moment, @willdias , @xvlad #renanmatic @fernandoferreira #highlander and many others. We'll continue to develop creative and gnarly media material while we're here, and I hope you all have a great weekend.:)
