About the Skatehive Spotbook

I have started a spotbook. Long ago there was an app that used the google map API allowing me to create pins, with photos, and add them to a Google My Maps.
The spotbook has been ongoing since 2012. Since then, it has only been the spots that I've found. I would like to open the spotbook up to the Skatehive community.
One thing that makes Skatehive unique is how global the community is. I think we could develop a great database of skatespots together.
To be clear, we are building a skatespot database. The information should be as accurate as possible. The idea is to begin collecting this map data and then merge it into our own app in some way.

The comments below this post will serve as the way users can submit spots. The spots will be added manually to the spotbook by me until further notice.

Guidelines for submitting a spot

1. Name of spot 2. Image of spot (try not to include people in the photo) 3. Coordinates of spot. Latitude, then Longitude. - This can be found by turning location services on with your photos on your phone.

An example spot submission in the comments should look like this:

Skatehive App Spotbook

@xvlad has begun implementing the spotbook into our app. The goal is for it to be convenient for people to quickly submit a spot. The submissions will be comments on this post, so I will be notified when people submit them.
