Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to the festive energy of downtown. Although I didn’t grow up living near it, something about the place has always felt strangely familiar—like a magnet quietly pulling me back, time and time again. Downtown is never still. The streets hum with movement: jeepneys passing by, Street food vendors calling out their prices, and people hustling through the sidewalks like a living current. For some, it might feel chaotic, but for me, it has always felt alive. Part of that connection comes from the years I spent studying nearby. Both my high school and college alma mater were just around the area, so downtown slowly became part of my everyday rhythm.
