Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Nim Guard Captain. Featured cards Nim Guard Captain is a death splinter that costs 7 mana. This splinter starts with the void ability. Leveling up this card only increases the stats of this monster. I use this monster quite often in Frontier because it's the best tank available with the death splinters. Rule Set, Battle, and Plan The rulesets this time are Thick Skinned. This means that all monsters start off with the shield ability. There is also 40 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for water and dragon. This ruleset is interesting because ranged monsters and melee monsters deal less damage. Magic monsters are better as they are not affected. |Splinter|Mana Cost|Position|Reason| |---|
