Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Spellmonger. Featured cards Spellmonger is a neutral splinter that costs 4 mana. This splinter starts with the thorns and untrainable ability. This card can't be weapon-trained, so it can be limited in some cases. I do use this card from time to time in Frontier because it could be useful in some rulesets/lineups. Rule Set, Battle, and Plan The rulesets this time are Aimless and Counterspell. This means that all monsters gain the scattershot and magic reflect ability. There is also 24 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for water and life. This ruleset is interesting because magic monsters are not as useful, and ranged monsters will be random. So, melee monsters are the way to go. |Splin
