I recently spent a hot afternoon, during which we were without electricity, exploring and photographing what I found in the gardens of my house and my mother's, which are next to each other and connected by a small gateway. The result of that time spent observing and capturing images was a good number of macro and close-up photographs, most of them quite abstract and visually complex. These photos, which you will see below, are processed in pure black and white, emphasizing shapes, textures, depth of field, light, and shadow as the main protagonists of each photograph. Prior to this post, I shared another series of photos from this day, but processed in color and with horizontal compositions.
