The day I did this hike, I left home at 2:30 AM dressed in long pants, an old camping shirt, my old cap, and my camera hanging around my neck. That day, the temperature in the valley was close to 36°C, with very little wind and a blazing sun illuminating everything from an impeccably blue, cloudless sky. My wife, as she always does when she sees me leave the house on extremely hot days, jokingly said, "Remember to take your cell phone so you can call when you're dying of dehydration" 🤣 and then added, "Leave it on, that way it'll be easier to find your body" 🤣 I burst out laughing and said goodbye, but not before telling her, "You won't get rid of me that easily. I'm going to the hills and will be back in two or three hours"...
