The story behind these photos begins with me arriving from the street (my camera slung around my neck, obviously) and deciding to go in through the front door that leads to my mother's garden. Once inside, I found myself in a concrete area with a table and chairs in the center, all made of wrought iron to withstand the elements. There were also the old bicycles of two gardeners who come every two weeks to do some maintenance on the plants at my mother's house. And, wow, seeing it all bathed in the mid-morning sun, I couldn't help but notice the multitude of shadows and shapes; which immediately made the word "ABSTRACT" pop into my head, and I started taking photos from a bunch of different angles. All this while one of the gardeners, perched on a ladder, kept looking at me and laughing...
