Here, the mornings are hazy, not quite fog, but more like a whitish veil floating over the town. This is accompanied by noticeable humidity and a higher-than-expected temperature in the early hours. These are the days when the dry season seems to be ending and the rainy season beginning. On days like these, the town is perhaps slower, or maybe it's just my perception. But whatever the reason, these are days when it's quite pleasant to wander aimlessly, and of course, to take some photos that capture the atmosphere of this "Montalbán in mid-April." And that's what I did today when I left my usual streets behind and made a brief foray into a neighborhood called "Las Matícas," where the paved streets end abruptly and for a few meters you cross a dirt road surrounded by wire fences and bushes.
