Yesterday, I participated in a running group for the first time. I joined because a friend recommended it, and I also created my first Strava account and joined the group's event so I could follow the route. The experience was wonderful, but I must confess that I used to mostly run on the gym treadmill. That's where I gradually built up my endurance in a controlled environment. I tried running outdoors, but I only managed it about three times because I had recently bought some new shoes that hurt my feet, so I stopped until I recovered. I hadn't done it again until now. I feel like I was quite bold because when I joined this group, they had two scheduled running options: 5k and 3k. I wanted to sign up for something easier, but Strava only showed the 5k route, so that's the one I did. It was the group I stuck with. I thought I probably wouldn't make it without stopping, but to my surprise, I didn't stop; I kept going until the end. I was very surprised and proud of myself. I thought it
