Early this morning, while I was sweeping the compound, I noticed that the small window of a wooden shop in the compound had been forced open by thieves during the night. Fortunately for the shop owner, they couldn’t gain access because the window space was well barricaded with strong wood. Under normal circumstances, I should have reached out to the shop owner immediately by calling her, since she doesn’t live in the compound. However, I wasn’t ready to witness the drama that would follow, so I left the scene as it was and decided to wait for her to come and see it herself. My workspace is very close to the compound, so around 10 a.m., the shop owner walked into my shop, and I acted like I didn’t know why she came. "You didn’t see my window?" she asked, as if I was supposed to be checking her window every morning before leaving the house. "Oh!
