Donkey Pegasus I created an artwork titled “Donkey Pegasus” the other day for my previous dog’s birthday. She was a tiny pied French Bulldog and lived a long life until she was 13. She had many nicknames, and one of them was “Donkey Pegasus.” After she passed away, I gave her wings in her portrait. This image became a symbolic image of her for me. I painted this image before. Actually, her hair was everywhere in my house, so I even added some of her hair when I painted it. This time, I added a new background that looks a little like a traditional Japanese black-and-white ink painting. I usually create a fantastical background for her image, but this time I wanted it to feel more classical. However, the black-and-white image looked a bit too faded, so I colored the moon blue. The blue moon pops out, making the image feel a little like pop art. Yes, I miss her almost every day.
