To respond to this week's prompts, I'll need to take a small trip into the past, since I did work in offices before and technically could have done part of that work remotely. In nearly 20 years of professional life, I have held various types of jobs — some unavoidably in-person, as they required direct contact with clients. I'm referring to my work as a bank teller, which I held for almost 8 years. It was the 2000s, and at least in my country, the option to pay bills through an online transfer did not yet exist. That decade coincided with the boom of emigration to Spain, during which thousands of my compatriots sought a better life in Europe.
