Today we are traveling once again to Portugal, back to the Portuguese coastline — a place where the sun seems to shine even stronger than in the Caribbean, while the Atlantic water feels colder than the glaciers of Antarctica. The photographs I am sharing today were taken during an afternoon walk along the coast. I’m not sure if every coastline in Portugal looks like this, but during my trips through the country I visited several different regions and in all of them I noticed something that I find very characteristic for Portugal’s seaside — long wooden boardwalks running along the coast. These pathways make walking extremely comfortable. You can explore the coastline without filling your shoes with sand and the walk itself becomes much easier than walking directly on the beach. Because of that it is also possible to cover much longer distances without even realizing how many kilometers you have already walked.
