I wrote about a museum in Santo Domingo, where they exhibited different items from the colonial era, including a bell from 1690 belonging to an old convent in the area. I was perusing my photographs when I came across a shot of the Iglesia y Convento de las Mercedes. I didn't know it at the time, but this appears to be a side shot of the church that housed the bell. You can see the dome peeking from the top. It is one of the three Dominican churches that the Spanish crown allowed in the new world at the time. I don't exactly remember what I was up to when I took the photo, but I think I was riding a "street train" that took tourists to key spots in the old colonial zone. |[](https://x.com/litguru23)|[](https://inleo.io/profile/litguru)|[](https://www.instagram.com/litguru23/)|[](https://nftshowroom.com/litguru/gallery) |:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:| |X|InLeo|Instagram|NFT Showroom| Images by @litguru
