It's the weekend and I hope you're all having a great one! 06:30AM today, when I was supposed to be snug in bed, enjoying the late morning sleep, I was out on the street, racing to get to the salon before the 7AM sanitation's start time. Every last Saturday of the month is observed as general sanitation day in my city, and with my hair appointment at the salon for 8:00AM, leaving home that early was inevitable. When I arrived, my stylist was already busy with another client, so I decided to take a stroll around the environment. This environment holds fond memories for me. It's where I spent the earlier days of my life. My walk took me to my alma mater, former Girls High School, Ogbor Hill, Aba - or what's left of it. As I stepped into the premises, memories flooded back – the locked gates, the bustling hallways, the mischiefs and laughter that follows, hehehe.
