Today is Easter for our Orthodox Christians, a holiday and a non-working day. After lunch we decided to take a walk. To burn off the excess calories we had taken in :)I live in a small village in the heart of Bačka. Bačka is part of Vojvodina, which is in turn part of Serbia and the Pannonian Plain. Not far from us flows the Danube River. This is the middle course of the Danube. The river is wide with many river island and a large floodplain.Of course, ours is protected from the mighty Danube by a large embankment. On one side is a tractor road and a meadow, and on the other is a forest, water. The whole side from the embankment to the Danube is an undefended area from flooding. So it is full of backwaters, swamps, water.Whenever my son is near water, he picks up pebbles to throw into the water. Or to make so-called frogs on the water. The high-altitude power line is spoiling this wilderness. And on the other side where there is a road and a meadow, we also found anthills. And there ar
