My country in Nigeria the minimum wage is very low compared to the economy of the country. Within my own knowledge, I expect that minimum wage should be the average amount of money, between the poor and the Wealthy. However in my country, the expected or approved minimum wage remains an amount that even the poor can get and still remains Poor. When you consider the cause of living in the country I believe that is when a minimum wage should be strike. When a particular source of living out of other resources needed in life to succeed can cause more than a minimum wage isn't enough. The minimum wage approved in Nigeria my country and where I also reside is 70,000 naira. 70,000 naira I don't know what an average Nigerian youth can afford that could last him for a week.
