Today I don't have much to say about these photos, except that they represent something I really like: checkered patterns. Maybe it's because of my emo phase as a teenager, maybe it's because I just like it, black and white, simple, bare and symmetrical. It's no wonder that one of the greatest games ever invented is played on a checkered table. How powerful is its influence on us? But anyway, I'm not a photographer and I don't care about techniques. I just like doing this: taking some photos that sometimes don't even make sense, but that I simply want to capture. The first photo is of a place I really like to visit, and I liked the way the shadow was superimposed on the grid. The second was taken during a walk in the middle of nowhere, when I found an abandoned house. On the outside porch, already overgrown with weeds, there was a checkered floor that matched my Vans, also checkered, perfectly. That's it.
