I've taken several trips to the zoo just to see the butterflies over the years, as you never know what you will find from one visit to the next. Sometimes it's the wrong time of year, and there are only a few out, while other times you are walking around carefully trying to avoid disturbing them because there are so many. If there are a decent amount of them out, then it pays to be patient because I know I will find many just hanging around, maybe even rolling out their long tongues to lap up some of the fruits that are positioned everywhere for them.
